Woven in Türkiye approximately seven decades ago, this hand-knotted Oushak wool rug has aged into something genuinely serene. An all-over field of botanicals, roses, tulips and trailing vines rendered in fine charcoal outline that sits against a ground of bleached bone and warm linen.
Look closely and the motifs reveal quiet traces of sage and sea mist, colours that have faded to near-whisper but remain, giving the rug a depth that photographs can only partially capture. In a room, it has the quality of something that has always been there.
