Oushak rugs are known for their exploded geometry, motifs spaced with deliberate breathing room, but this piece takes the opposite approach: a dense, quiet repeat.
The drawing is exceptionally fine with small florals and curling vines in soft taupe and warm brown against a ground so faded it reads almost as bone. A double border frames the field cleanly, echoing the same restrained palette throughout. From a distance, the effect is closer to texture than pattern. Quiet, considered, almost monochrome.
